At The Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg, you expect to be moved by the surreal, the unexpected, the beautiful. But this fall, the museum is inviting guests to do something more primal, to taste it.
Introducing the Flavors of Spain Dinner Series, an intimate new culinary program that fuses fine dining with fine art and pays homage to Salvador Dalí’s homeland in the most delicious way imaginable.
Inspired by Dalí’s own philosophy, “Man’s first philosophical instrument… is his awareness of the real by his jaws” the dinner series is both a tribute and a transformation: a multi-course journey through the flavors, textures, and stories of Spain, led by some of Tampa Bay’s most respected chefs.
More Than a Meal—A Sensory Pilgrimage
Each evening in the series will spotlight a different region of Spain, offering guests a carefully curated menu that reflects not only the geography but the soul of its cuisine. One night might transport you to the Basque coast with seafood and cider pairings; another to the olive oil-drenched hills of Andalusia. But this isn’t just about food, it’s about experience.
Held within the museum’s architecturally iconic glass atrium, surrounded by Dalí’s mind-bending works, the dinners promise a full sensory immersion. You’re not just eating in a museum; you’re participating in a living artwork. And that’s exactly the point. These events are designed to mirror Dalí’s belief that reality itself can (and should) be bent, tasted, and savored.
Tampa Bay’s Culinary Talent on Display
What makes this series truly special is its collaborative spirit. The Dalí has tapped into the region’s thriving culinary community, with guest chefs from top kitchens across Tampa Bay designing exclusive menus that go beyond tapas clichés. Each dish is paired with Spanish wines, vermouths, or creative cocktails meant to highlight both tradition and innovation.
Expect bold flavors, unexpected plating, and menus that read like poetry.
Intimate, Exclusive, and Unforgettable
If it all sounds a bit extravagant, that’s intentional. Seating for the Flavors of Spain series is intentionally limited, allowing for a more intimate connection between chef and guest, art and appetite.
Tickets are available now, but not for long.
For those who believe food is more than sustenance, and that dining can be an act of artistic expression, this is a table worth finding your way to.
